Travelin' Tuesday: Atlantic City

For us, Atlantic City is like a smaller version of Vegas.  Living in Philadelphia, we grew up making trips to the shore so when we traveled back to Philly/New Jersey in 2008 for my mom's family reunion we squeezed in a couple of days at AC.

Chris' first steps into the Atlantic ocean occurred on this trip.  He's flown over the ocean (to backpack in Europe) but never stepped foot in it before.

For us, those couple of days at AC were spent in the casino and walking the famed boardwalk.

We also made time for some Italian Water Ice (man, I miss that stuff!), lounging by the pool and lunch at the Hard Rock.

Thanks to dad's connections, we lucked out with an amazing suite!  I would LOVE to take some of the elements from this bathroom and put it in our future home.

Have you stayed in a hotel with elements or features that you would like to incorporate into your own home?

  1. That looks like so much fun! I've never really been in a hotel like that before, but I almost always want to steal at least one or two features from the nicer hotel's bathrooms. They always feel so posh and relaxing! :)

  2. I was in a hotel recently that had a TV behind the bathroom mirror. It was a two-way mirror and when you turned the TV off, you couldn't see it. Oh! And the shower doors were clear so you could see the TV while you showered. It was seriously the most awesome thing ever. I usually bring my ipod into the shower, but a TV is a way better idea. In my dream home, I'm totally doing it.

  3. My husband and I were just having a conversation about Atlantic City this weekend. While it is nice, we wish it were ever nicer. You guys looked like you had fun. I haven't been in years, but maybe we should go back.

  4. I don't know if I'd ever leave the bathroom if we had all that...
