Home Ideas: DIY Details

To make our future house into a home, I'm hoping to add a couple of DIY touches.  Thanks to Pinterest for having a place for me to find and save some of these ideas.  You've already seen my first inspired project, here are a few more that I have pinned.

Perfect to keep track of all the places we've been!  I would probably do one of the US and one of Mexico/Caribbean since we've traveled to a handful of those locations as well.

These wooden squared painted with chalkboard paint are a great way to meal plan for the week.

This would be adorable in a baby's room.  Maybe change it up and do the whole name in buttons on a canvas.

This would be really cute with our last name and "est." date.

I really love the idea of painting a picture over a couple of canvases.  This could check off one of my 30 before 30 goals.

Are there any DIY touches that you have incorporated into your home?

  2. I love the chalkboard calendar blocks — thanks for sharing! And to answer your question, no we do not have any DIY touches as we are lazy urban dwellers who choose to buy rather than create. :-(

  3. I agree with geekinheels, I think the menu one is my favorite! The map is really cute too especially since you take lots of trips together like your birthday trips. I'm always looking for fun diy projects at home, pinterest has been making me want to do a lot more.

  4. These are all really great! I think I like the tree one the best--for some reason I'm always drawn to things with trees.

  5. I think those are my favorite, really because I just want to make some with chalkboard paint :)

  6. I was really drawn in by the colors on the tree! Chris did a great job with the tree from our wedding so maybe he could give me some pointers if I try that one.

  7. I can't wait to see what you guys come up with! I'm eager to do some now, but will probably wait until we see what type of wall space we will be working with.
